Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 3 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
- 75 grams Almonds
- 30 grams Sesame Seeds
- 30 grams Pepitas
- 1 cup Medjool Dates, pitted
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (160 degrees Celsius) to prepare for toasting the granola mixture evenly.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, almonds, sesame seeds, pepitas, chopped medjool dates, honey, and sea salt. Stir well to ensure the honey coats all the ingredients for a uniform caramel flavor.
- Spread Mixture: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the granola mixture evenly over it in a single layer to promote even baking and toasting.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring halfway through if desired, until the granola is toasted and crispy with a golden-brown color.
- Cool and Break: Remove from the oven and allow the granola to cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cooled, break it into bite-sized chunks for serving or storage.
Notes
- For chunkier granola, press the mixture firmly on the baking sheet before baking.
- Store the granola in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks for optimal freshness.
- Use raw almonds or roast them separately if preferred for enhanced flavor.
- Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of honey or dates according to taste.
- If you have a nut allergy, substitute almonds with additional seeds or omit them entirely.
