Description

This cozy Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe combines rich espresso with a homemade spiced pumpkin syrup, steamed milk, and a generous topping of whipped cream. It’s the perfect autumn indulgence with warm cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger flavors melding beautifully into a creamy latte.

Ingredients

Scale

Pumpkin Spice Paste

  • 1 can Pumpkin Purée (15 oz)
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 4 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Ginger

Latte

  • 2 fluid ounces Espresso
  • 1 cup Milk (whole or preferred milk)
  • 3 tablespoons Whipped Cream
  • Ground Cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make Pumpkin Spice Paste: In a pan over medium heat, combine the pumpkin purée, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground ginger. Simmer gently for 3 to 5 minutes while stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens to a smooth, homogenized paste with a slightly darker color. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Latte: In a latte glass, add 1/4 cup of the prepared pumpkin spice paste. Pour in the milk followed by the espresso. Stir well to thoroughly combine all the flavors into a creamy mixture.
  3. Finish and Serve: Top the latte with 3 tablespoons of whipped cream and a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon for garnish. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy your pumpkin spice latte!

  • The pumpkin spice paste can be refrigerated for up to 1 week and used to flavor multiple drinks.
  • For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and vegan whipped cream.
  • If you do not have espresso, strong brewed coffee can be used as an alternative.
