Instructions
- Cook the Porridge: Combine the porridge oats, milk, 450ml water, and a pinch of salt in a pan. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the porridge becomes thick and creamy.
- Prepare the Berry Compote: While the porridge is cooking, place the frozen berries, orange juice, and orange zest in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 2-3 minutes until the berries are softened and release their juices, creating a quick compote.
- Assemble the Dish: Divide the creamy porridge evenly between serving bowls. Spoon the warm berry compote over the porridge, then top each bowl with sliced fig and toasted, chopped pistachios for added texture and flavor.
