Ingredients
Scale
Slider Assembly
- 12 slider buns, split
- 24 thin turkey slices
- 8 thin Swiss cheese slices, ripped into 3–4 pieces each
- 2 1/2 – 3 cups homemade or storebought coleslaw mix
- Dijon mustard, to taste
Cheese Spread
- 4 ounces herbed chèvre cheese
Butter Sauce
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350˚F (175˚C) to prepare for baking the sliders evenly.
- Prepare slider bases: Place the bottoms of the slider buns in a 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading a desired amount of Dijon mustard on each bun to add tangy flavor.
- Add turkey, cheese, and coleslaw: Layer 2 slices of turkey and the torn Swiss cheese pieces on each bun bottom. Then top with about 1/4 cup of coleslaw mix per slider for freshness and crunch.
- Spread chèvre on bun tops: Generously spread the herbed chèvre cheese on the cut side of the tops of the slider buns. Place the bun tops on each assembled slider.
- Bake covered: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to keep moisture in and bake for 15 minutes to melt the cheese and warm the ingredients thoroughly.
- Prepare butter parsley sauce: While baking, melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat. Remove from heat, then stir in minced parsley and a pinch of salt for flavor.
- Brush buns and finish baking: Remove the foil from the pan and brush each slider bun top with the butter and parsley mixture. Return to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the tops are golden and slightly crispy.
- Serve immediately: Remove from the oven and serve the sliders hot for the best melty, flavorful experience.
Notes
- Feel free to use storebought coleslaw mix for convenience or homemade for freshness.
- Adjust the amount of Dijon mustard and coleslaw mix to your taste preference.
- If you prefer a milder cheese flavor, substitute Swiss with provolone or mozzarella.
- Butter parsley sauce enhances the crispiness and flavor of the buns but can be skipped for a lighter version.
- These sliders reheat well but are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
