  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This One-Pan Pasta recipe is a quick and easy meal that combines linguine, cherry tomatoes, onion, garlic, and fresh basil cooked together in a single pot. The pasta is boiled with seasonings and olive oil, allowing the flavors to meld into a light and flavorful sauce topped with grated Parmesan cheese. Perfect for a simple, wholesome dinner requiring minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale

Primary Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Linguine
  • 12 ounces Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 Red Onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 sprigs Fresh Basil

Seasonings & Oils

  • 2 teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

Toppings

  • Grated Parmesan Cheese, to taste

Liquids

  • 4 1/2 cups Water

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients in pot: Place the linguine, cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, sea salt, ground black pepper, sliced garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, extra-virgin olive oil, and fresh basil sprigs into a large pot.
  2. Add water and bring to boil: Pour 4 1/2 cups of water into the pot. Place the pot over medium-high heat and bring the water and ingredients to a rolling boil.
  3. Cook the pasta: Once boiling, let the mixture cook for 9 minutes. Throughout cooking, use tongs to lift and stir the pasta occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  4. Turn off heat and toss: After 9 minutes, turn off the heat. Toss the pasta quickly a few times in the pot; this will help the remaining water thicken and create a flavorful sauce coating the pasta and vegetables.
  5. Finish and serve: Serve the pasta topped with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with any remaining fresh basil leaves. Pair with a salad or garlic bread if desired for a complete meal. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Be sure to stir the pasta occasionally while cooking to prevent sticking.
  • Adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes to control the level of spiciness.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
  • This recipe is versatile; you can add other vegetables or protein if desired.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
