Scale
Primary Ingredients
- 12 ounces Linguine
- 12 ounces Cherry Tomatoes
- 1 Red Onion, sliced
- 4 cloves Garlic, thinly sliced
- 2 sprigs Fresh Basil
Seasonings & Oils
- 2 teaspoons Sea Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 2 tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
Toppings
- Grated Parmesan Cheese, to taste
Liquids
- 4 1/2 cups Water
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in pot: Place the linguine, cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, sea salt, ground black pepper, sliced garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, extra-virgin olive oil, and fresh basil sprigs into a large pot.
- Add water and bring to boil: Pour 4 1/2 cups of water into the pot. Place the pot over medium-high heat and bring the water and ingredients to a rolling boil.
- Cook the pasta: Once boiling, let the mixture cook for 9 minutes. Throughout cooking, use tongs to lift and stir the pasta occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
- Turn off heat and toss: After 9 minutes, turn off the heat. Toss the pasta quickly a few times in the pot; this will help the remaining water thicken and create a flavorful sauce coating the pasta and vegetables.
- Finish and serve: Serve the pasta topped with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with any remaining fresh basil leaves. Pair with a salad or garlic bread if desired for a complete meal. Enjoy!
