- 1 pound ground beef
Potato Layer:
- 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
Onion and Garlic Mixture:
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Cheese Blend:
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Liquid:
- ½ cup beef broth (or water)
Seasonings:
- Salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Brown Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with olive oil for about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Sauté Onion and Garlic: Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until softened.
- Layer Ingredients: Spread the beef mixture in the baking dish and layer thinly sliced potatoes on top. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Add Cheese and Liquid: Add shredded cheeses and pour beef broth around the edges.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
