Ingredients
Scale
Base Layers
- 10 oz original flavor prepared hummus
- 5 oz tzatziki
Vegetable Toppings
- 1–2 roma tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cucumber, chopped
- 5–6 peperonchini peppers, sliced
- 1/4 cup kalamata olives, sliced
- 3 green onions, chopped
Cheese & Seasoning
- 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp Greek seasoning
Instructions
- Spread the Hummus: On a mostly flat platter or plate, spread the entire 10 oz container of original flavor prepared hummus out in a thin, even layer. This will serve as the base of your dip.
- Add the Tzatziki Layer: Spread about half of the 5 oz container of tzatziki in a thin layer on top of the hummus, leaving approximately a 1/2 inch border of hummus visible around the edges to create a layered effect.
- Top with Vegetables and Feta: Evenly layer the chopped roma tomatoes, diced cucumber, sliced peperonchini peppers, sliced kalamata olives, chopped green onions, and crumbled feta cheese over the tzatziki, leaving a small border around each layer for visual appeal and easy scooping.
- Drizzle Olive Oil and Seasoning: In a small bowl, mix the 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil with 1 teaspoon of Greek seasoning. Drizzle this mixture over the top of the layered dip, allowing it to gently drip down the sides and settle onto the hummus layer.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the dip for up to 3 hours to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled with pita chips, pita bread triangles, cucumber slices, or bell pepper strips for dipping. Enjoy your fresh and delicious Greek Layer Dip!
