Description

A creamy and flavorful Gluten-Free Garlic Parmesan Pasta recipe featuring tender gluten-free pasta tossed in a rich garlic-infused Parmesan cream sauce, perfect for a comforting and easy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Gluten-Free Pasta

  • 12 oz gluten-free pasta (such as penne or fettuccine)

Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ground black pepper, to taste

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add a generous pinch of salt and then the gluten-free pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.
  2. Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes: In the same pot or a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant. Be careful not to let the garlic burn.
  3. Add heavy cream: Lower the heat and add the heavy cream to the skillet. Stir and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Make the Parmesan sauce: Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the cream mixture, stirring continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Toss pasta in sauce: Add the cooked gluten-free pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the garlic Parmesan sauce. Allow it to heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve: Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Be careful not to overcook the garlic as it can become bitter.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and smooth texture in the sauce.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta cooking water to loosen it.
  • Red pepper flakes are optional, adjust quantity to taste for desired spiciness.
  • This dish pairs well with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables.
