- 1 tbsp Flour
- 3 tbsp Water
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- Fresh Parsley (chopped)
For Pasta:
- 300 g Cavatappi Macaroni
- 1/2 Baguette (for breadcrumbs)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika Powder
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
Instructions
- Caramelize Onions: Sauté onions in olive oil until caramelized. Add sugar and beef broth if needed.
- Prepare Béchamel Sauce: Melt butter, whisk in flour, then gradually add heavy cream. Stir in caramelized onions and season.
- Cook Pasta: Boil pasta until nearly al dente. Combine with béchamel sauce.
- Bake: Transfer pasta to a dish, top with remaining onions and breadcrumbs. Bake until golden.
