  • Seasoning of your choice: salt and pepper, or ½-1 tsp of either smoky BBQ, ras-el-hanout, garlic granules, celery salt, or garam masala

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Wings: Separate each chicken wing into two at the joint using sharp kitchen scissors, removing the wing tips if preferred. This helps in even cooking and easier eating.
  2. Season Wings: Toss the separated chicken wings in sunflower or olive oil along with the seasoning of your choice, ensuring each piece is evenly coated for maximum flavor.
  3. Arrange in Air Fryer: Place the seasoned chicken wings into the air fryer. Use the paddle if your air fryer has one, or arrange them evenly on the tray if it does not, making sure they aren’t overcrowded to allow proper air circulation.
  4. Air Fry: Set your air fryer to cook for 35 minutes. Check if the wings are tender and properly cooked through—they should be nearly falling off the bone and the skin should be crisped with bubbled texture.
  5. Additional Cooking: If the wings are not tender enough, air fry for an additional 5 minutes. During cooking, excess fat will drip off into the base of the fryer, which should be discarded afterward.
  6. Serve Immediately: Remove the wings promptly to prevent steam from softening the crispy skin. Transfer them into a bowl and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
