  • Author: Ethan
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

These Buffalo Chicken Dip Sliders are a perfect game day or party appetizer featuring shredded chicken mixed with spicy buffalo sauce, cream cheese, fresh herbs, and melted cheddar and pepper jack cheeses, all sandwiched in soft dinner rolls and baked to gooey, flavorful perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

Buffalo Chicken Mix

  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions

Sliders Assembly

  • 1 package dinner rolls, halved lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, melted
  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1/3 cup pickled jalapeños (optional)

Topping Butter Mixture

  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400° F to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare Buffalo Chicken Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, chopped cilantro, and scallions until well mixed and creamy.
  3. Assemble the Sliders: Place the bottom halves of the dinner rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Layer the melted cheddar cheese, then drizzle or spoon ranch dressing over it. Spread the buffalo chicken mixture on top, add extra cilantro if desired, sprinkle with pepper jack cheese and optional pickled jalapeños. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese to form sliders.
  4. Make Butter Topping: In a separate bowl, mix melted salted butter with hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and chopped garlic. Spread this butter mixture evenly over the top of the slider rolls. Finish by sprinkling poppy seeds on top for added texture and flavor.
  5. Bake the Sliders: Cover the sliders loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops are golden and bubbly.
  6. Slice and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven, carefully slice between sliders, and serve warm for the best flavor and experience.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie or leftover chicken for convenience.
  • Adjust buffalo sauce and hot sauce levels to your preferred spice tolerance.
  • For extra creaminess, you can add a bit of sour cream or more cream cheese to the chicken mix.
  • Poppy seeds add a nice visual and slight crunch but can be omitted if unavailable.
  • These sliders can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
