Description
These Big Mac Sliders are a delicious mini version of the classic fast-food favorite, featuring juicy ground beef, melty American cheese, and a tangy homemade Big Mac sauce, all nestled inside soft Hawaiian slider rolls. Perfect for parties, game day, or a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Sliders
- 1 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 12 slider rolls (Hawaiian rolls or brioche rolls)
- 6 slices American cheese
- 1/4 yellow onion, finely diced
- 5 oz iceberg lettuce, shredded
- 1/4 cup dill pickles, sliced
For the Big Mac Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
- 2 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350˚F to prepare for baking the sliders later.
- Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat, season with salt and pepper, and keep warm in the skillet.
- Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, mustard, white vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined to create the Big Mac sauce.
- Assemble the sliders: Carefully slice the slider rolls in half horizontally. Arrange the bottom halves in a casserole dish. Layer each bottom with a slice of American cheese, then spread the cooked ground beef evenly on top, and sprinkle with finely diced onion.
- Top and prep for baking: Place the slider tops on the assembled bottoms. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over them. (Tip: Ensure the cheese is under the beef to prevent sticking. If the cheese is on top, bake tops separately.)
- Bake: Bake the sliders in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until heated through and golden on top.
- Finish and serve: Remove the tops from the sliders. Add shredded lettuce, a generous spoonful of Big Mac sauce, and sliced pickles to each slider. Replace the tops and serve immediately.
Notes
- Make sure to place the cheese under the ground beef to prevent the slider tops from sticking during baking.
- If the cheese is placed on top of the meat, bake the tops separately to avoid sticking.
- Use Hawaiian or brioche slider rolls for soft, slightly sweet buns that complement the flavors perfectly.
- This recipe serves about 12 sliders, perfect for parties or family gatherings.
- To keep sliders warm before serving, cover loosely with foil after baking.
